Main Characters and Their Previous Works I'd watched.
For the main characters, gladly it wasn't my first time seeing them in a drama. Though some of them I only watch because they are supporting characters. For Yoon Chan-Young who played the role of Lee Cheong-san, I was able to see him in the Drama Deliveryman which I dropped in the middle. I also watched him in some series wherein he is a supporting cast or playing the young version of a character such as in the series Dr. Romantic and When a Man Loves.
Park Ji-Hu played the role of Nam On-Jo and gladly I was able to watch her in the series Beautiful World. She has an important role on the series but her appearance are from time to time only on that series. I also watched her in the series Little Women but unfortunately I wasn't able to finished the drama and dropped it on the first few episodes.
The character of Choi Nam-Ra was played by Cho Yi-Hyun who also played a main lead role in School 2021. Unfortunately, I also dropped the School 2021 but still in hopes that I was able to finish it someday. Some dramas are worth watching in specific moments of my life wherein I would appreciate them more. She also appeared in some dramas I finished such as The Guest and Hospital Playlist.
Lomon played the role of Lee Su-Hyeok and he also played a role in a revenge series Revenge of Others and also appeared in Lookout. He also appeared just like the other four in some dramas but I haven't even started those that's why I haven't mentioned them.
Director and Writer and their Previous works.
The directors of the Drama are Lee Jae-Kyu and Kim Nam-Soo and both of the series they directed before was not on the list of the dramas I started and finished and this drama was the first for them. This is the same with Chun Sung-Il, the writer of this drama, wherein I haven't had the chance to watch the drama series he wrote before.
Story
The plot of the story on my perspective was kind of common for a zombie -themed drama. Since zombie don't usually just comes up, it will start with a virus or some chemicals. But even though it was common, how they laid the story was superb and how they make it that the student are the main focus on how they will survive is very relatable. In the minds of the student, based on the lessons they've learned in school, how will they be able to survive such epidemic until some adults will be there to save them.
It was nice to know that in simple ways, if this happens, we have the idea on how and what should we do. The survival tactics they showed was really great. It was also a good thing that they made it as realistic as possible wherein, main characters and those people around him will be a victim and became a zombie as well. It would be the best way to make this drama more interesting to watch.
Acting
Everyone of the cast did they job to portray their characters well to the point that I hate most of them. I hated them because they showcase their true colors and the color I hope won't show if this kind of epidemic or outbreak will happen. From the teachers up to the police, they really made me hate them and I even remembered how was life during the pandemic. It was hard to survive when some areas are locked but patience is the virtue for the safety of everyone.
Favorite Character on this Series
Oh Joon-Yeon, played by Ahn Seung-Kyoon, would be my favorite character. Upon careful consideration of their characters, I think Seung-Kyoon would be my favorite. He faces the consequences of his actions and suggestions proudly for the sake of his friends. He is a man of his word which is really commendable.
Favorite Actor/Actress on this Series
Lee Yoo-Mi would be my favorite actor/actress for this series. She played the role of Lee Na-Yeon who really showed her true colors just to survive and don't want to be treated as someone crazy. I really hated her and this shows that she really did great in portraying her role. I hated her decision not just once, not twice but many times but the decision that end up her dead is really is something out of her character but slowly she really has a heart. It is just that our survival instincts can make as really different from how we usually act.
I can't think of which of which couple really shines the brightest on this series. But I will give the favorite couple/tandem to Lee Cheong-San and Lee Su-Hyeok because they are the best buddy on this series. They more of like the pillar of the group to survive. They fight well and think well to survive. I would definitely want to have them in the group if this kind of outbreak happened.
With or without season two, the series really did great for this season. It started and ended well and fortunately it ended with a closure that they somehow take refuge to the site where they should belong in. The story was good and the cast was great. Like what I've said it was good that the main focus of the series was the student who will become the elder of tomorrow. It was really important that they survive and I hope kids and teens were able to get some tips on this series. And I hope, people won't be like the people of this series if this kind of things happen. Let us always prioritize the safety of others and be good to one another because we might not know what will happen next. I would definitely recommend it, but of course with reservation to those who did not want brutally much.
