The Glory (2022) - Series Review: "Revenge has never been more exciting."

"The Glory," in addition to Weak Hero Class 1, will be my favorite online korean drama series of 2022. The Glory is a drama series that tells the story of Moon Dong-Eun, who is played by Song Hye-Kyo, and has an eight-part episode for its first installment (season one).

Moon Dong Eun wanted to be an architect when she was in high school, but her life was turned upside down when she became a victim of bullying and high school violence perpetrated by her classmates. She received numerous scars as a result of the bullying she endured, and because no one believed in her or wanted to rely on her, including her family, she decided to drop out of high school.

But she didn't stop there; she's been plotting her retaliation ever since. She grew up and waited for the leader of the group that was bullying her to marry and have a child. She studied to become a teacher, and she eventually became that child's teacher. This is where her vengeance began.

Before confronting this bully when they were young, she made certain she was prepared and had a lot of information about them so she could carefully and thoroughly prepare for the fight. Even though she appeared strong when she faced them, she was still haunted by the pain she experienced in high school. That's why I'm rooting for her to get her vengeance.

Revenge is bad, but I know these bullies deserve it because they showed no remorse and went on with their lives as if nothing had happened. It was a well-written drama, and I agree with other viewers that it had a great ensemble cast who performed admirably. The actors were excellent when they were young, until when they grew up.

When you get to the second episode of the series, you'll be hooked like I was. I only watch episode 1 and then stop because I have a lot of Kdrama to watch, but once I started watching Episode 2, I couldn't stop until I finished all eight episodes.

I'm looking forward to the next episode. 8 episodes is simply insufficient. I just hope that as she faced them, she grew stronger and that the trauma she went through helped her overcome it so that she could fully take her revenge to the next level. Fighting Moon Dong Eun!
