Find Me In Your Memory (2020) - Series Review: "Heartache"

 

Lee Jung-Hoon is a news anchor who has a disease which allow him to remember everything without leaving anything behind. He was able to see or think some part of his memories as if it is really is happening right now. On the other hand, Yeo Ha-Jin is an actress who suffers on an accident which causes her to to forgot some part of her life / past. Their fate intertwined when Ha-Jin guests on Jung-Hoon's show to promote her upcoming film.

Moreover their fate was more connected when in the latter part it was revealed that Jung-Hoon's ex-girl friend was Ha-Jin's best friend. The two fake their relationship to boost their own careers but they became closer as if they are not faking it anymore.

Main Characters and Their Previous Works I'd watched. 

I watched this drama honestly without knowing who the main leads are. I just saw this on Netflix and tried watching it. It turns out that the main leads are actors that I have watched before. The series stars Moon Ga-Young  who played the role of Yeo Ha-Jin and Kim Dong-Wook who played the role of Lee Jung-Hoon. I watched Moon Ga-Young in "True Beauty" while Kim Dong-Wook's performance in the series "The Guest" gave me an awe. 

Director and Writer and their Previous works.

Find Me In Your Memory is directed by Oh Hyun-Jong and Lee Soo-Hyun. I have watched but dropped one of the series of Oh Hyun-Jong which is the Sh**ting Stars but I still want to finish it. I just dropped it due to busyness. For Lee Soo-Hyun, I was able to watch the series he directed entitled "Awaken" which is also a promising series to watch.

Story

This drama, for me, was fun and light at first but when the back stories was established and revealed it was not that fun anymore, in short it got a little bit darker. It has full of heart though it didn't made me cry but it somehow made my heart ache from time to time while watching it.  The complications, the term I use for twist and turns of the stories or additional flavors, were really good. The obstacles of the love stories were intense that it somehow involves their brains and memories.

Acting

The cast acting is good and they were able to give justice to their role. I would also give credits to the fun and lovely acting of the supporting cast because they add flavor to this drama series. 

Favorite Character on this Series

The character named Yeo Ha-Kyung, played by Kim Seul-Gi, was one of my favorite on this series. She is promising and fun to watch. She is direct to the point and she is someone we wanted to be-friend.

Favorite Actor/Actress on this Series

Amongst all, the innocent look of Kim Dong-Wook really captivates me and how he give his line are really on point. My Favorite Actor/Actress for this series goes to him. His eyes tells his emotion which is really good. 

Favorite Couple/Tandem on this Series

But for the Favorite Couple/Tandem goes to the cutest couple on this series which is Yeo Ha-Kyung and Jo Il-Kwon. Their chemistry is simple yet appealing at the same time their story is cute and fun.

Overall, my expectation on this series meets the reality or should I say the reality far exceed my expectation since I didn't think I would enjoy this series at all since I was just curious with the title.
