Behind Every Star (2022) - Series Review: "Just Okay"

One of the series, Behind Every Star, ended last week. I'm writing my review a little late because I was a little under the weather last week and I have a lot of things I need to finish and do for work. So, without further ado, here are my quick thoughts and opinions on this series.

This series deals with the managers of celebrities, as I mentioned in my pilot episode. review and even in the plot allover the internet."Behind Every Star," as the title suggests, talks about those people in the shadows assisting the star or artist to make sure they shine brighter. Behind every superstar are their managers / road managers. They are the ones who look for and find opportunities for their talents, ensuring that the artist's trust is not squandered.

This series shows how managers tried their hardest for their actors, even if it meant telling a lie in order to land a role in a series or movie. They must even lie to their actor in order to be cast, even if they are experiencing personal difficulties. It also discusses the struggles of their entertainment agency "Method," which is in crisis after the CEO dies unexpectedly while on vacation.

To be honest, I didn't enjoy much on this drama. But, if you're wondering why I finished it because it's kind of okay, it's just that it didn't pique my interest at all. The idea of the series was okay because it is about the entertainment industry, but as the way they created the series was not interesting or how they approached it was somewhat normal.

I'm not saying it was bad; if I had to rate it between good and bad, I'd say it was somewhere in the middle because I was still able to finish it. Perhaps it was one of the least interesting series I was watching these past few days and month. I didn't get a Korean Entertainment vibe from this series, which could be because it was adapted from another country. Maybe I felt for some parts of the series but not the whole thing.

Overall, it was adequate, but not exceptional. Would I suggest it? Perhaps it is up to you to make your own decision. I still believe that there will be people who enjoy this series, which is why I'm leaving the decision in your hands as to whether you will watch it or not. I wouldn't recommend it much, but I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt because we might disagree on this one.
