Bad Prosecutor (2022) Series Review: "Action-Packed Legal Drama"

The drama series "Bad Prosecutor" on KBS2 ended its run last night with the twelfth episode. The story of Bad Prosecutor revolves around Jin Jung, played by Do Kyung Soo. Jin Jung was a prosecutor who relied on expediency and deception rather than the standardized practices of the law.

The beginning of this series demonstrates the trickery itself, as he pretended to assist the accused only to find the hidden documents to prove his illegal activity. He handled things quite intensely, which was fortunate because he excels in action and fighting.

In terms of fighting, he is similar to any overpowered anime character. That is, regardless of the number of enemies, as long as they do not ambush him, he can definitely fight them head on. It was unfortunate that it ended in the 12th episode, but I believe it was the correct decision because they had already reached the peak of the story and prolonging it would not provide the satisfaction it provides in the 12th episode.

Despite Jin Jung's deception and hasty actions to solve cases and resolve issues, he has a strong sense of justice and conscience. He will fight on the side of the weak no matter how difficult it is, and he will do so on an eye for an eye justice.

Even though I had barely seen Jin Jung in his Prosecutor's Robe, this drama series was quite entertaining. What we need right now is a prosecutor who will go to any length to fight for the justice that the people deserve. Someone who will not stop because he knows the truth or until the truth is revealed. I know what he did was illegal in the eyes of the prosecutor's office, but it was justice in the eyes of those who seek it.

It's great to see D.O back in a drama series after such a long absence. I admired his acting ability in the series "100 Days My Prince," and his transformation from a Prince to a Prosecutor was a wise choice. However, when comparing the two series, I would still prefer 100 Days My Prince because it has something I can't describe that made me feel nostalgic every time I remembered the drama.

The cases in this drama began simply with a murder case, which evolved into a large case involving corrupt people. This type of case, on the other hand, makes the drama more interesting because it creates a sense of mystery. It was strange because they gradually tried to eradicate evilness from the pawns up to the mastermind of evilness. Perhaps killing the pawns will make catching the real prey much easier.

This drama's antagonist is very effective. Kim Chang-Wan, who played the main antagonist, Seo Hyun-Ku, was very impactful as the antagonist. Every time he played an evil character in the drama series, my blood boils. I remembered him from the drama "Awaken," where he was a doctor who didn't care what he did to the child in order to achieve the research's results. He was a fantastic actor.

It was interesting to see how the story unfolded and how truth and justice were achieved. The turn of events in Episodes 11 and 12 was unexpected. I did not predict the outcome of Episode 11 or how they will find justice in Episode 12. It was good to keep me guessing and unpredictable. Actually, after watching Episode 10 or discovering the true evil person, I find it difficult to predict what will happen next.

Overall, it was unfortunate that it ended in the twelfth episode, but it was the correct decision. It's difficult to say goodbye, but we'll see D.O again in a drama. It was definitely an action-packed legal drama, not just a legal drama or a mystery drama.

Would I suggest it? Yes, if you want to see some action you've never seen before led by a prosecutor. When pursuing criminals, we see detectives take action, but this time it was the prosecutor. Despite the fact that the case was centered on revealing the truth on the murder case that led to a branch of people being involved, it was still satisfactory.

So, how about you? What do you have to say about this drama? Please leave a comment
