Why Her? - Episode 2 Recap and Review: "Its getting more interesting"

Second episode and the series still look appealing to me. There is this part of me that wonders what may happen or what will happen. My curiosity on this drama still lingers and excitement is at its level.

In this episode, the class of Oh Soo-Jae was on the brink of cancellation due to students refusing to take her class but Soo-Jae thought of an idea on how she will encourage them to take her class and that is by giving incentives to those who will be on top of her class. Also, Soo-Jae also realises that Gong Chan was the one she slapped and she apologises to him.

I just realized that one of the students, Choi Yoon-Sang, played by Bae In-Hyuk, was the second lead in “My Roommate is a Gumiho”. He is even the son of the Head of TK Law Firm. I actually haven’t uploaded my review on ‘My Roommate is a Gumiho’ but I slightly get a second lead syndrome from it, that’s why it’s good to see him again on this drama.

The case for today’s episode was a girl being molested, it is one of the students of Oh Soo-Jae and one of the lowest ranking in the class as well. Her seatmates in the class help her in finding proof that she was molested by the professor since the professor makes a story about not really meant to touch the girl. Fortunately, the same incident where Soo-Jae was slightly molested by the same professor was caught on camera and Soo-Jae at first didn't want to make it a big deal but her mind changed and used it as evidence to make the professor suffer as well.

The episode also revealed my curiosity on the first episode and confirmed that the person helped by Soo-Jae when she was still a rookie lawyer was Gong Chan, previous name was Kim Dong-Gu. Gong Chan became a suspect of the death of her step-sister. He was actually framed on it, and it makes it looks like he raped her stepsister then kill her. Unfortunately, he was sentenced to ten year in prison and both Gong Chan and Soo-Jae from that past felt sad from the result. Soo-Jae promised that she needs power so that it won’t happen anymore. But later on, Gong Chan was released from the prison after the real murderer was caught. He studied hard to enter law school because she wants to find Oh Soo-Jae.

That story was a nice build to make the story more solid. That story will be a solid foundation to root for a happy ending for both of them and will make the story more interesting. How will the connection between the two for Soo-Jae be something to look forward to and I hope it is in a sense that makes it more exciting.

My favorite part of this episode was the Elevator Scene, where Gong Chan became straight forward to Oh Soo-Jae. The moment he touched her hand was so cute and I was like “Omo!”. It was cute, then after that moment was the revelation of his connection with Oh Soo-Jae. I just can’t wait for the next episode. The preview on season 3 was kinda exciting, another part of the suicide case on the first episode was revealed.I think there’s more to that suicide incident or maybe it wasn’t really suicide at all. We will know in the upcoming episodes. Comment down below your thoughts chingus!
