Big Bet (2022) - Series Review: "Not For Me"

Big Bet is a Disney+ crime-action series about a casino. The story follows the turbulent life of Cha Mu-Sik, played by Choi Min-Sik. After so many twists and turns, he became a legend in Casino World.

The first episode of the series wasn't particularly appealing; this series has an indie feel to it. I'm sure there will be many action pact scenes, but perhaps the target audience for this series was not me. I believe it had a specific age group that fits this series.

I'm not saying it wasn't good; it just wasn't for me. Despite the fact that it involves crime, in which Cha Mu-Sik will be involved, the vibes it gives do not entertain me. It was nice to see the Philippines in this drama, and it gave a lot of Pinoy actors opportunities that, according to them, paid them three times their regular pay in the Philippine entertainment industry.

The first episode follows Cha Mu-sik, who fled to the Philippines after being involved in a tax case in Korea. He was asked to pay the tax in order to avoid legal action, but he still refuses. He encourages her wife to relocate to the Philippines with their child.

I may continue this series to give the benefit of the doubt, but I doubt I will be able to finish it. Maybe I'll watch it if I have a lot of free time, but for now, I'll just give you my honest thoughts and feelings on the first episode.

Again, my viewpoint may differ from yours. As I previously stated, this would be a fantastic series, and I am confident that many people will enjoy it. This was just my thoughts and feelings, and if I was able to continue watching this one as it progressed, my opinion might change, if only if I am able to continue.

So, how about you? What do you think of this series? Please leave your thoughts in the comments section; I would greatly appreciate it.
