Woori The Virgin - Episode 1 & 2 Review : "A Great and Fun Series to Watch"

Adaptations review are more on comparing the adapted one on the original one, but for me I will be reviewing it based on what I felt while watching the series. I heard the original series "Jane The Virgin" before and it even aired in the Philippine TV through ABS-CBN. Honestly, I know why the title became like that but I haven't watched the original series at all. Maybe I had glimpse on TV teasers/commercials that's why I understand why title became like that. So to make things straight, I really can't compare the two so this review is more on my honest thought after watching the series as a KDrama.

First and foremost, the story was fun. It is a story that is rarely happening in the real world. I am not saying that it isn't possible but it is possible in rare cases. The plot was good but you would notice that the turn of events is really fast. There's a lot of things happening in one episode and maybe because adapting it to Korean Version really needs  it to fit in 16 episodes. A lot of Jane The Virgin fan comments on how the story was really shortened but for me it was quite okay since the transition was clear you won't be confuse on what is happening.

Second, there are comments that some of the main character isn't fit for the role. Well, I respect their opinion but for me I can't find any actor who can fit the role of the main characters or am I just get to attached with them after watching it. But more likely, I think the role given to them really fits them. Sung Hoon, for me, is the only person who can play the role of Raphael. His appearance really fits a chickboy chaebol. While doing this review, you might notice that I indicated comments from other people or their thoughts on the drama. I actually was able to read comments on the series on some sites and I just input them here to somehow compare what they felt on what I felt. You might notice as well that their comment is really different from mine and maybe mine would be different from yours and that's understandable. We have different standards and taste but for me this drama is great and fun series to watch. Im Soo-hyang really fits the sweet innocent girl but the original series fan said that the character should be strong. I think, in Korean setting her character is okay.

Third, for the comedic part some people say that the scene was a little bit unnatural for them but for me I really don't mind because it made me laugh so hard that I can't wait for the next episodes. I am stressed out on overthinking things and good thing that I found this drama and made my day quite fine. Again, we may and we can have different opinion on this Drama but every drama I watched and finished was appreciable and I finished it because there something in it that I like. I am not looking for the best drama but this drama has a lot of elements that keeps me hanging to watch the next episode.

Overall, I really like this drama and maybe once this drama is finished I will try watching the original series. I just remember when I watch the Korean series "Suits" which turns out to be an adaptation as well. When I watch the original I have notice that there are really changes on the story line and on how they tackle the story this is because the difference in culture of the two different countries that made the same series. Even in Pinoy Adaptations there will be changes on some parts to align the story in the countries beliefs and laws. I understand that there were a lot of changes the original series fan pointed out but without comparing it to the original one, this drama was indeed a great and fun series to watch.

That would be all, how about you? What are your thoughts on this series?
