Main leads for upcoming "Island: Season 1" drama are now confirmed.

 It was revealed that Kim Nam Gil, Lee Da Hee ASTROs Cha Eun Woo and Sung Joon will lead the upcoming fantasy thriller drama "Island" Season 1".

The drama will introduce a Korean-style hero and will be based on the Naver webtoon of the same name by writers Yoon In Wan and Yan Kung Il. It is set on an island and will narrate the story of the characters that are bound to fight against the evil who's trying to destroy the world.

Kim Nam Gil will play the role of Van, a person destined to protect the world. Lee Da Hee will be Won Mi Ho, the only daughter and heiress of the Daehan Group who got relocated to the island to work as a high school ethics teachers. Cha Eun Woo will potray the role of a hip Ctholic exorcist named John/Kang Chan Hyuk. And Lastly, Sung Joon will take the role of Gung Tam, who was raised as a slayer to defeat evil.

The drama "Island: Season 1: will begin its filming this October and the drama reportedly will air during the first half of 2022.
