This series ended weeks ago. I couldn't finish it because of some business, and I became addicted to watching the Awards Night of various broadcasting networks in Korea. It was a 12-episode series with an average run time of 25 to 30 minutes per episode.

It tells the story of Jung Da-Jung, a woman who discovered she had cancer and was unable to eat or digest food. She contacted her husband, Kang Chang-wook, from whom she had been separated for a long time. She asked him to help her and prepare food for her while she was undergoing treatment. Chang-wook is a humanities instructor and translator.
Jung Da-Jung was played by Kim Seo-Hyung, and Kang Chang-wook was played by Han Suk-Kyu. Ji Ho Eun also appeared in this series as Kang Jae-Ho, the son of Da-Jung and Chang-wook.
It was a straightforward series about a family and the difficulties they faced as a result of an illness. Despite its simplicity, the story was filled with love and sadness. It came to a sad but hopeful conclusion. Knowing that everything went well afterwards and knowing that Da-Jung won't be in pain anymore.
It hit me hard when Da-Jung said she is ready. In a life full of surprises, we wanted to spend as much time as possible with the people we love and knowing that we won't be able to do so, the one thing we need to do is prepare ourselves for the possibility that we won't be able to see them one day. It's unfortunate, but as Chang-wook stated, she's amazing to be able to say she was ready.
Overall, it was a good drama. They were successful in incorporating cooking into the story. Chang-wook's voiceover in the story was actually quite good. It summarizes the story as well as his emotions. It was similar to reading a blog. We can read his blog and see what he writes there.
